Yield 8 to 10 servings

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb (5 cups uncooked) rotini or fusilli, cooked el dente
1 lb. ground beef (optional)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. dried bail
3 cups (700 ml) spaghetti sauce
1 tsp granulated sugar
3 (or more) cups grated cheese (reserve at least one cup for topping)
3 cups milk
4 eggs
1/2 tsp each salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef with garlic powder and basil. Add spag. sauce. sugar and 2 cups of the grated cheese. Mix with the cooked pasta and put into a 9x13 baking dish Whisk the eggs with the milk and salt and pepper. Pour mixture over the pasta (do not stir/mix). Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Place on the middle rack in preheated 425 degree oven, then turn down to 325 degrees. Bake uncovered for about 50 to 55 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes, then enjoy.
