Paloma image

This is a popular tequila and grapefruit cocktail from Mexico. There are a lot of different versions of this cocktail, but I really like it with the grapefruit soda because it's so refreshing. But I'm looking forward to trying it again (and again) using fresh grapefruit juice.

Number Of Ingredients 6

- salt, for rim
2 1/2 ounce(s) tequila
1 squeeze - lime juice
6 ounce(s) ruby red (pink) grapfruit juice or grapefruit soda (like fresca, squirt, or jarritos)
1 - lime wedge, for garnish
1 cup(s) ice cubes

Steps:

  • Turn highball glass upside down and dip rim in water to moisten rim. Then dip rim in salt to coat rim with salt crystals.
  • Add ice to highball glass. Add tequila and lime juice, then top with grapefruit juice or soda. Stir.
  • Garnish with a wedge of lime, and serve.
