OVEN ROASTED CANNED TOMATOES image

2 28 cans peeled whole tomatoes (Muir Glenn), drain liquid
1/2 - 2/3 cup extra virgin
olive oil
14 lg fresh basil leaves torn
2 4" branches fresh rosemary
1/2 med red onion, cut 1/4"
dice
5 large cloves garlic coarsely
chopped
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • preheat oven 275 degrees spread tomatoes on cookie tray olive oil, sprinkle with remainder ingred. bake 21/2 hours, baste and turn while cooking take tomatoes and olive oil in glass bowl, set at room temp up to 6 hours, refridg up to 4 days serve with baguette
