OVEN BEEF STEW image

Number Of Ingredients 11

1.5 lbs stew beef
4 potatoes, cubed
4 carrots, sliced thick
1 large onion, sliced
2 ribs of celery, sliced
Mushrooms
frozen peas (1/3 c or more)
2 t salt
1 T sugar
2 T minute tapioca
1 c tomato juice

Steps:

  • 1. Put meat on bottom of Dutch oven pan and layer all vegetables - except peas - on top. 2. Make sauce by mixing salt, sugar, tapioca and tomato juice. Pour over vegetables. 3. Cover pan and back at 250 for 4 hours. 4. Add peas 30 min before removing from oven.
