ONE POT PASTA WITH TOMATO-BASIL SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 11

12 ounce(s) pasta of choice
1 can(s) (28 oz.) diced tomatoes
2 cup(s) chicken broth
1/2 medium yellow onion, sliced
4 clove(s) garlic, sliced
1 teaspoon(s) dried oregano
1/3 cup(s) firmly packed fresh basil leaves
2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil
1 package(s) (6 oz.) baby spinach
- freshly grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Place the first nine ingredients in a Dutch oven in the order of ingredient list. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, covered, 10 to 12 minutes or until pasta is slightly al dente, stirring every 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in spinach. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Stir just before serving. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
