Steps:
- Add yeast and suger to 1/4 C water. Let stand until yeast foams up. In seperate bowl place buttermilk, 1/3 C suger and butter. Stir in yeast mixture. Add flour baking soda and salt. Stir until dough forms a ball. Cover and let stand 10 minutes. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 to 4 minutes. Roll out to a 12" by 12" square. Brush with melted butter to within an inch of the edge on 3 sides. Sprinkle butteref area with remaining suger, cinnamon and raisins and nuts if desired. Roll up starting with buttered edge and pinch to seal edge. Use a sharp knife to cut into 12 1 inch rolls. Place in a greased 9x13 inche pan or 2 rond cake pans. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake 20 minutes at 375.
