Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies image

These are big ole crispy and chewy cookies. fun to make, fun to eat. And curb hunger at noontime providing energy until dinner time. These are made from Stormy Stewarts recipe from her fantastic Gift In A Jar Recipes. Country Oatmeal Cookies Mix in a Jar

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 c all purpose flour
1 stick unsalted butter
1 c old fashioned oatmeal (dry)
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
optional: 1/2 c. raisins, or walnuts.

Steps:

  • 1. Thoroughly cream butter, flavoring & sugar.
  • 2. mix w/ dry ingredients. Stir in 2 eggs. The drop by Tbsp. 2 inches apart onto baking sheet.
  • 3. Add nuts, chocolate chips or raisins.
  • 4. bake at 300 degrees. When golden but not brown, Lift from pan w/ spatula onto a plate. Try not to break.
  • 5. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.
