Nutty Prune Wheat Bread image

1 cup water
2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry milk powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons yeast
1/2 cup coarsely chopped, pitted prune
1/3 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Make 1 ½-Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups flour, or make 2-Pound Recipe with bread machines that use 4 cups flour.Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except prunes and walnuts in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Add prunes and walnuts at the Raisin/Nut signal.Select Whole Wheat or Basic/White cycle. Use Medium crust color.
