NANA'S CHRISTMAS FRUITCAKE image

Number Of Ingredients 16

For step two:
2 c. sugar
2 c. fresh coffee
1 tsp. salt
2 large tbsp. butter
1 small container citron, ground in a meat grinder or food processor
juice and grated peel of one lemon
1/2 lb. raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 ts. nutmeg
Add in step three:
1 heaping tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 c. nuts, chopped
a few red and green candied cherries, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Prehead oven to 300 to 350 degrees. and grease and flour one springform pan. 2. Boil ingredients for step two for five minutes. 2. When cool, add ingredients for step three. 3. Bake for about 1 1/2 hours.
