MUSHROOM-ALMOND PATE image

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 T unsalted butter
1 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3/4 lb mushrooms, chopped
1/2 t thyme
1 c almonds, toasted
2 T olive oil
1/4 c balsamic vinegar
1 t salt
1/2 t freshly ground pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Heat butter; saute onion, garlic, mushrooms and thyme over medium-low heat until soft. 2. Place toasted almonds in food povcessor w/ olive oil and process until smooth. Add mushroom mixture (don't add the pan juices), balsamic vinegar, and salt & pepper. Process to desired smoothness. 3. Regrigerate several hours or overnight; serve with crackers or toast.
