Steps:
- 1. Heat butter; saute onion, garlic, mushrooms and thyme over medium-low heat until soft. 2. Place toasted almonds in food povcessor w/ olive oil and process until smooth. Add mushroom mixture (don't add the pan juices), balsamic vinegar, and salt & pepper. Process to desired smoothness. 3. Regrigerate several hours or overnight; serve with crackers or toast.
