MOTHER'S VEGETABLE SOUP (SLOW COOKER) image

Number Of Ingredients 14

2 lbs. stewing beef or chuck steak
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1/2 tsp. pepper (or to taste)
4 bay leaves
1 c. celery, chopped
1.5 c. onions, chopped
5 - 6 med. carrots, sliced
Half head of cabbage, chopped
28 oz. can Italian-style tomatoes
1.5 T Worcestershire sauce
2 cans beef boullion
1 - 2 cans shoepeg corn
2 small cans tomato paste
Pinch of oregano or any other herb you prefer

Steps:

  • Put all incredients except corn in slow cooker. Cook in high for 6-7 hours or on low for 12 (?) hours. An hour or so before it's finished, cut meat into bite-size pieces, add corn and 1-2 cans tomato paste and adjust seasoning. Serves 6 - 8.
