I made this for dinner tonight. Not only was it tastey, but it uses ingredients I always keep on hand and goes together really fast. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound(s) ground beef
1 package(s) taco seasoning mix
3/4 cup(s) salsa, chunky
6 - flour tortillas (6 inch)
1 can(s) refried beans
2 cup(s) mexican blend shredded cheese, i used cheddar and jack
- a few shakes of taco sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350f. Brown ground beef in medium sauce pan. Drain grease. Mix in taco seasoning. Then stir in 1/4 cup of salsa.
  • Spread refried beans on one side of each tortilla. Go as heavy or as light as you want, depending on your family's taste.
  • In a 2 qt rectangular or square baking dish, add a small amount of meat mixture on the bottom and spread around. Then start layering starting with 3 bean covered tortillas on top, bean side down (they will overlap to fit). Then half of the meat mixture, half of the cheese, 3 bean tortillas, 1/2 cup salsa, rest of meat mixture, some taco sauce, and the rest of the cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until melted and bubbly. Serve with toppings such as sour cream, jalapeƱo, guacamole, etc. Enjoy!!
