Marchand de vin sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup Butter
1/3 cup Green onion tops, finely chopped
1/2 cup Onion, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup Cooked ham, minced
1/2 cup Mushrooms, finely chopped, fresh or canned
2 tablespoons Flour
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon Black pepper
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1 cup Beef stock
1/2 cup Red wine

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a 4-cup measuring cup. Sauté green onion, onion, and garlic on high for 5 minutes.
  • Add ham and mushrooms. Cook on high for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cover with wax paper and cook on high for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in beef stock and red wine. Cover with wax paper. Cook on high for 10 minutes. Stir once.
