MAMA'S MUSTARD PICKLED EGGS image

How to make MAMA'S MUSTARD PICKLED EGGS

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 C. white vinegar
2 T. mild mustard (I used plain yellow prepared mustard)
1 C. water
3/4 C. sugar
1 jar deli sliced mild pepper rings
1 T. salt
1 T. celery seed
6 whole cloves
1/4 t. turmeric (bumps up the yellow color naturally)
2 onions cut into rings.
1 entire head of garlic, each clove peeled.
18 hard boiled eggs, peeled.

Steps:

  • Add everything except onions, peppers and eggs to saucepan. Whisk all ingredients together well and heat to almost boiling. Cool. In a container layer onions, peppers and eggs. When brine is cool, pour over all ingredients in container. Cover with lid and place in fridge and let marinate for at least 48 hours but.....the longer they marinate the better!!
