Mac & Cheese Tuna Casserole image

What do you get when you combine mac and cheese and a tuna casserole? You get one easy-to-make dish the whole family will like!

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pkg. (7-1/4 oz. each) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
1 small onion, quartered
2 tsp. smoked paprika
3 cans (5 oz. each) white tuna in water, drained, flaked
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen peas
1 jar (7 oz.) roasted red peppers, drained, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Mexican Style Finely Shredded Four Cheese, divided

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Prepare Dinners in large saucepan as directed on package.
  • Meanwhile, blend next 3 ingredients in blender until smooth; spoon 1/2 cup into 3-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray. Mix remaining tomato sauce with tuna, peas and red peppers.
  • Add egg and 1/2 cup shredded cheese to Dinners; mix well. Spoon 1/3 of the Dinner mixture over tomato sauce in casserole; top with layers of half the tuna mixture and 1/2 cup of the remaining shredded cheese. Repeat layers. Cover with remaining Dinner mixture.
  • Bake 30 min. Top with remaining shredded cheese; bake 5 min. or until melted. Let stand 5 min. before serving.
