LPC Apples and Onion Pork Chops image

I kind of made this up using a couple of recipe that I mixed together. A good recipe for cooking pork chops with my Low Pressure Cooker (LPC). This was very tasty. The pork chops had lots of flavor and was very tender. You can use a crock pot or even bake in the oven if you wanted to. Helpful Hint: I keep a box of spiced apple...

Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 large thick sliced, boneless pork chops
olive oil, extra virgin
salt and pepper to taste
2 small sweet onions, chopped (large chunks)
2 Tbsp greek style seasoning
2 pkg spiced apple cider drink mix
2 c water
2 Tbsp honey mustard
2 large apples, chopped in large chunks, with skin on

Steps:

  • 1. In the bottom of the cooker, add a little olive oil and brown the pork chops. Salt and pepper to taste. Add the chopped onions and lightly saute. Add the Greek seasoning on top of the chops. In a mixing bowl add the water, cider mix and mustard. Mix well and pour over pork chops.
  • 2. Bring to a boil and put on lid. Adjust temperature to a low steam and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the thickness of the chops. About 1/2 hour before dinner add the chopped apples and a little water,if needed. I like my pork chops very tender, fall off the bone type, so that is why I cook them so long. You should have reduced the liquid by less than half. So you will have a little liquid to spoon over chops, but not enough for extra gravy.
