Low-fat white sauce image

This is good on pasta, veggies or on poultry. I found this in a taste of home magazine. 1/4 cup has 46 cal., 3 gr fat, 1 mg cholesterol and 4 carbs.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 Tbsp stick margarine
3 Tbsp all purpose flour
2 Tbsp butter buds granules
1 Tbsp reduced sodium chicken bouilon granules
1 1/2 c boiling water
1 c fat free milk
pepper to taste
chopped parsley to garnish

Steps:

  • 1. In a saucepan, melt margarine. Stir in flour, butter buds, and bouilion till blended.
  • 2. Gradually add water and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min., or until thickened. Season with pepper.
  • 3. Yield: 2 cups
