Polish Sausage Stew image

This is a tasty stew with sausage and sauerkraut that is made in the crockpot. Often times, I make this dish with leftovers from the night before. From the Fix-It and Forget-It cookbook.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 can(s) cream of celery soup (10 3/4-oz)
1/3 c packed brown sugar
27 oz sauerkraut, drained
1 1/2 lb polish sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces and browned
4 medium potatoes, cubed
1 c chopped onions
1 c shredded monterey jack cheese (4 ounces)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine soup, sugar, and sauerkraut. Stir in sausage, potatoes, and onions.
  • 2. Cover. Cook on Low 8 hours, or on High 4 hours.
  • 3. Stir in cheese and serve.
