LASAGNA SANDWICHES image

NOT SURE WHY THESE ARE CALLED LASAGNA SANDWICHES, BUT THE BACON IN THEM IS WHAT CAUGHT MY EYE. THESE WOULD GO REALLY WELL WITH PASTA FIGOLA.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/8 c sour cream
1 Tbsp onion, chopped
1/4 tsp oregano, dried
4 slice italian bread
4 slice bacon (cooked)
4 slice tomato
2 slice mozzarella cheese, 1/4 inch
2 Tbsp margarine or butter

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first 3 ingredients; spread on four slices of bread. Top each with four bacon pieces, two tomato slices and a slice of cheese. Top with remaining bread. in a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Cook sandwiches on both sides until bread is lightly browned and cheese is melted. Add more butter if needed.
