KOREAN DIPPING SAUCE image

1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
1/4 c low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/4 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/4 tsp Korean pepper powder (kochukaru)
Pinch of sugar

Steps:

  • Crush the sesame seeds lightly with a mortar and pestle. Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, pepper powder, and sugar in a small bowl and stir together. Stir in the sesame seeds.
