Jodie's Salmon Patties image

I have been making this for many years, as does my mom. We use the same recipe for salmon loaf or croquettes (rolled in cracker crumbs and fried), I generally fix fried hominy with the salmon patties...

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 can(s) boneless skinless pink salmon (canned)7oz
1 1/2 c quaker old fashioned oats, uncooked
1/3 c milk
1 tsp dill weed
2 Tbsp margarine
1/2 c salsa
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp garlic
salt and pepper to taste
dill butter or horseradish (opt)
1 large egg or egg whites beaten
2 tsp cilantro

Steps:

  • 1. 1. 1 Combined all ingredients except margarine; mix well. 2. 2 Shape to form oval patties about 1/2 inch thick. 3. 3 Pan fry the patties in margarine over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and heated through. 4. 4 Serve hot, with dill butter or horseradish
