Number Of Ingredients 5

1 lb. mild sausage
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 c. Bisquick baking mix
2 c. grated Pepper Jack cheese
3 T. chopped pickled jalapeno OR 1 (4.5 oz.) can chopped green chilies

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well combined.
  • Form into small balls, about 1-inch in size. (I use a small cookie scoop for easing forming.)
  • Place on a foil-lined baking pan lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 400℉ until cooked through and lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
  • Jalapeno Pepper Jack Sausage Balls may be made ahead of time and refrigerated or frozen. When ready to serve, thaw (if frozen) and reheat in a 350℉ oven for about 5 minutes.
  • These are wonderful made with either chopped pickled jalapeno or canned chopped green chilies, however we do love them best with the pickled jalapeno. They're a little bit spicier with the jalapeno, just the way we like them!
