JALAPENO HUMMUS image

A great spicy dip that tastes great with raw veggies! Acceptable food for SB Phase 1, 2, 3

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can(s) chick peas
1 can(s) (small can) jalapeno peppers (diced), juice reserved
3 Tbsp tahini (or chicken broth) or both
3 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp curry powder
crushed red pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. In a blender or food processor, mix the garbanzo beans, jalapeno peppers and reserved juice, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice. Season with cumin, curry powder, and crushed red pepper. Blend until smooth.
  • 2. Nice alternative Cilantro-Jalapeno Hummus 1 (15-oz) can of chickpeas 1 teaspoon sea salt 1 clove garlic 1/4 cup tahini 1/4 cup lemon juice (about 1 lemon) 1/2 cup fresh cilantro 1 jalapeno, ribs and seeds removed 1-2 tablespoons chicken broth
