Hot Mulled Wine image

This is a popular recipe. It makes a charming gift when given with a bottle of wine land a card inscribed with directions. it's easy and just the right touch for crisp fall weather.Source unknown

Number Of Ingredients 5

MULLED WINE MIX:
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground allspice

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together. Store in airtight container. May be stored at room temperature indefinitely Mulled wine for single serving: 1 1/2 tsp. Mulled Wine Mix, above 1/3 cup water 2/3 cup dry red wine Cinnamon stick In small pan, bring mix land water to a boil. Add wine and heat til hot; Do not boil. Serve in mug with cinnamon stick stirrer. For Punch Bowl: 3/4 cup Mulled Wine mix, above 3 cups water 1 1/2 liter bottle dry red wine Cinnamon sticks In large pan, bring mix and water to a boil. Add wine and heat ti hot; do not boil. Serve in punch cups or mugs with cinnamon stick stirrers. Makes nine 1 cup servings
