Hot Dog Chili image

Plain & simple chili ! Have tryed lots of hotdog chili over the years but seem to always come back to this one.Our kids & grandkids beg for the stuff!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 lb ground round or 90% chuck
1 c finely chopped onion
2 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 tsp oregano, dried
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp dales steak seasoning sauce or soy sauce
3 oz tomatoe paste ( 1/2 of small 6oz can )
1 1/2 c water
1 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Brown ground beef in large frying pan til no longer pink over medium heat.Add onion and cook about 5 minutes, stir often,then add all spices & steak sauce plus tomatoe paste and stir well.Add water & sugar and bring to boil then reduce to simmer and cook uncovered 30 minutes adding extra water if needed. (I like mine a little saucy or thin) Store in frig. and freezes well.
  • 2. Great on hotdogs or hamburgers !
