Hot Chicken Casserole image

This recipe was on one of my recipe disks. I tried it and it was great, except if you're going to use potato chips on the top instead of the Chow Mien Noodles, I'd NOT use the 1 tsp of salt in the recipe. Try it and let me know what ya'll think.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
4 cups bite-sized pieces cooked chicken
1 cup slivered almonds
2 cups celery, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained
2 cups potato chips or 2 cups chow mein noodles (More Or Less To Preference)

Steps:

  • In Large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients.
  • Stir until smooth, then mix in the remainder of the ingredients.
  • Put mixture into a baking dish.
  • Top with a thick layer of either crumbled Potato Chips or Chow Mien Noodles.
  • Bake at 350³F for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
