Hot Buttered Apple image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 pieces Oranges
3 pieces Lemons
1 ounce Stick Cinnamon
1 tablespoon Allspice
1 1/2 quarts Water
1 1/2 cups Sugar
4 quarts Apple Cider

Steps:

  • Squeeze juice from Oranges and Lemons, save
  • Put fruit rinds and spices in a pan with the water, cover and simmer for 2 hours
  • Strain over the sugar in a pot then add juice, cider and heat thoroughly but do not boil
