Number Of Ingredients 10

1 ham bone with some meat
2 lb dried navy beans
20 c water
1 c diced celery
1 c diced carrots
1 Tbsp salt or to taste
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp thyme, dried
1/4 c maple syrup
2 c cubed ham pieces

Steps:

  • 1. Bring Ham bone and 20 cups of water to a boil in a large soup pot
  • 2. Rinse Navy Beans thoroughly, add to stock and simmer for 2 hours
  • 3. Remove bone and add all remaining ingredients and simmer another 30 minutes
  • 4. Serve with some fresh bread and enjoy!
