Homemade Popcorn Butter image

I was messing around in my kitchen the other night.Thinking up a movie snack item.This is it.And it is just like the real movie buttered popcorn.YUMMY!

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp margarine
1 jar(s) popcorn
1 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. For a large heavy and covered pot of popcorn,popped full to the top.Use a half cup measure of uncooked popcorn kernels.And put in two extra TBSP of coconut oil and then drop in kernels and put the lid on,after a few have escaped and made the kids laugh.
  • 2. Cook on stovetop on medium heat and use pot holders so that you can keep shaking the pot as it all pops.When You hear the popping get real slow,stop.It,s done.You do not want burned popcorn smell all over your house.
  • 3. In a small bowl,melt together the 4 TBSP of coconut oil and 2 TBSP of margarine or butter if you wish.Blue Bonnet Margarine tastes just great! Now when popcorn is popped,salt it shake it and drizzle the butter mixture all through it.YUM YUM! Hope you all enjoy this one for many years to come.I know I will and SAVE LOTS of money by making your own homemade buttered popcorn.
