Helen's Pound Cake image

This recipe was given to my by our housekeeper back in 1950's Helen has passed for many years, but this cake is the best pound cake I have ever made. It is very easy so it is worth a try

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pound(s) butter
1 pound(s) confectionery sugar
6 - eggs
3 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

Steps:

  • beat butter and sugar togethter.........add eggs one at a time then flour and vanila
  • add eggs one at a time
  • then flour and vanila in well and put into a greased tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees
