Hawaiian Barbecue Sauce image

This sauce is awesome for basting or marinating chicken, pork or beef! Makes 6 cups, but you can definitely cut in half! From Taste of Aloha.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cup(s) olive oil
1 cup(s) catsup
1 cup(s) soy sauce
1/2 cup(s) brown sugar
2 tablespoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) celery, chopped
1 cup(s) sweet onion, chopped
5 clove(s) garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon(s) fresh ginger, minced
1 tablespoon(s) chili sauce

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a heavy bottomed saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for one hour. Stir occasionally to keep from burning.
