Harvest fruit cobbler image

Apples, pears and cranberries..oh my! What a harvest!! Delicious and so easy to make.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup(s) sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
2 cup(s) cold water, divided
3 - apples, peeled, thinly sliced
3 - pears, ( your favorite kind,) peeled, thinly sliced
1/2 cup(s) fresh cranberries, ( or you can use dried cranberries, but fresh taste better.)
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
2 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
1-1/2 cup(s) heart healthy bisquick mix
1/2 cup(s) 1% milk

Steps:

  • In saucepan, combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and 1-3/4 cup of water. bring to a boil. Stir in apples, pears, cranberries and lemon juice. return to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered about 10 mins or until fruit is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • In small bowl, combine cornstarch and remaining water, whisk well. pour into fruit mix in saucepan. Cook 2 mins, or until thickened, stirring constantly. Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray.
  • Spoon fruit mix into baking pan. In bowl, combine bisquick mix and milk until just blended. Drop by spoonfuls onto fruit mix. Bake 15-20 mins, or until biscuits are lightly browned.
