Harvard Beets image

This recipe was one my grandmother made many years ago and I have modified it for today's eating.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can(s) 15 ounce diced beets
1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp butter
1/4 c beet juice from can
1/4 c apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • 1. Mix sugar and cornstarch; add butter, vinegar and beet juice, boil 5 minutes in a saucepan.
  • 2. Add drained beets, remove from heat; cover and let set for 30 minutes or longer.
  • 3. Reheat and serve.
