This is the first time I made Challah from start to finish in the bread maker. Last year I just made the dough. I left the yeast and eggs out over night to warm up and I think it made all the difference in how this rose up. I live at 5,000 feet and cut back on the yeast, and think I could have cut back even more. I will next time. Here's the recipe as written. I put my ingredients in the order recommended by the machine making sure the yeast and liquids DO NOT TOUCH ONE ANOTHER.

Steps:
- Heat the water. I used my candy thermometer to make sure the temperature was correct.
- Add the ingredients in the order given. When you go to put the yeast in, make a tiny well in the flour and put the yeast in there.
- The settings I used were for a 2 lb. loaf. I used the basic bread setting with a medium crust.
- Once the bread is done remove it from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting. Slather with your favourite spread.
