Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pound ground beef chuck
3 (14 1/2-ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1/4 cup diced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1 bay leaf
salt and pepper to taste
3 semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Place beef in a large pot; break up with a spatula. Add enough water to cover beef; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook until beef is no longer pink; drain and return beef to pot. Pour undrained tomatoes into a blender; process to a liquid consistency. Add tomatoes to pot; stir in remaining ingredients except chocolate chips. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Discard bay leaf; stir in chocolate chips. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Tip: Wondering how much spaghetti to cook for dinner? A single, one-cup portion of cooked spaghetti equals a 1/2-inch bundle of uncooked spaghetti strands. You'll get eight servings from a one-pound package.
