GRANDMA'S PUMPKIN PIE image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 unbaked pie shell
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons butter, melted
2 large eggs
15 ounce can of pumpkin
12 ounce can of evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine sugar, salt, and spices in a small bowl. Melt butter. In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add pumpkin and spice mix, and stir; add melter butter. Gradually stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Continue baking pie for an additional 40-50 minutes, until done (a knife inserted to the center will come out clean). Cool 2 hours; serve or refrigerate.
