I've had this recipe so long, I had to look up where it came from. . . That being my friend Rhonda. This recipe is hearty and delicious. Simple, affordable, and, did I say it? Delicious. Served with a piece (or 3) of buttered bread, it's perfect for a cold winter's day!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can(s) mushrooms
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
3 c tomato juice
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
1 c uncooked macaroni

Steps:

  • 1. ***Alternate preparation -- Start cooking macaroni by itself, first, according to package directions. Do not add until 5 minutes to end of cook-time. This takes more time and work, but the noodles taste better.***
  • 2. Brown burger & onion. Drain off excess fat.
  • 3. Add mushrooms, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice, vinegar, salt, pepper, mustard, and macaroni.
  • 4. Boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender. Stir occasionally.
