Ginger Rum Punch image

The deeply intense flavors of allspice, dark rum and gingerroot make this a perfect cocktail for the first crisp days of fall.

2 tablespoons (1 oz) dark rum
2 tablespoons (1 oz) light rum
1 teaspoon chopped fresh gingerroot
1 1/2 tablespoons (3/4 oz) lime juice
1 1/2 tablespoons (3/4 oz) orange juice
Ice
1/4 cup (2 oz) cranberry juice
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

Steps:

  • In cocktail shaker, add dark rum and light rum. Add gingerroot, then use end of wooden spoon to muddle ginger, releasing its flavor into rum.
  • Add lime juice, orange juice and ice; shake until cold. Pour into cocktail glass filled with ice. Slowly pour cranberry juice into glass; garnish with allspice.
