Garden Pita Pizzas image

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 whole-wheat pita bread (6-inch rounds)
1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable
1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
3 medium carrots, thinly sliced (about 1 cup)
1 large green pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 green onions, chopped (about 2 tablespoons)
1 cup pizza sauce with sliced mushrooms
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4-oz)

Steps:

  • 1. Split each pita bread into two flat rounds, making 6 rounds. Place on 2 baking sheets.2. Bake at 400°F for 5 minutes or until toasted.3. In 10-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot oil, stir-fry vegetables until tender-crisp, stirring often. Set aside.4. Spread each round with 2 rounded tablespoons pizza sauce top with vegetables and cheese.
