Fruit Custard image

This creamy fruity custard is delicious and can be used with any flavor of jello and any fruit, try so fruit cocktail and strawberry jello- so good. Try this one with the crushed pineapple and bananas too with pineapple-orange jello.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 ounce(s) pineapple or lemon jello, or your favorite
2 cup(s) very hot water
2 cup(s) mini marshmallows
2 small bananas,diced
8 ounce(s) can drained crushed pineapple
1/4 cup(s) granulated sugar
1/2 cup(s) pineapple juice
1 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
1 large egg, beaten
8 ounce(s) container thawed whipped topping

Steps:

  • Dissolve jello in hot water. Add marshmallows and stir until dissolved. Cool mixture until slightly thickened. Fold in banana and pineapple(or no banana and no pineapple and use 1 large fruit cocktail drained)..Pour into large bowl or 9x13-inch glass dish. Chill.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, pineapple juice, cornstarch and egg, until sugar is dissolved and mixture is thickened. Cool mixture until thick and then add the whipped topping. Spread over top of the set jello mixture.
