We love this rich chowder, it is so good with a big chunck of hot bread or corn bread. Really great on a cold night by the fire. This can be doubled or tripled easily for a bigger crowd.

Steps:
- 1. Cut fish into 2 inch pieces
- 2. Cook potatoes in 2 cups boiling water for 5 minutes
- 3. add fish, salt and pepper. Simmer covered for 10-12 minutes
- 4. Cook bacon till crisp. Drain and crumble; reserve drippings.
- 5. cook onion in drippings
- 6. Add crumbled bacon and onion to fish mixture.
- 7. Slowly blend flour into milk; add to chowder. Cook stirring constantly till mixture thickens. Garnish with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley or some thinly sliced green onion tops
