FAVORITE FALL SALAD image

Yield 6 appetizer servings

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup dry roasted pecans or walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup dried cranberries
5 shallots, carmelized or roasted and thinly sliced.
1 large bosc pear or crisp apple, diced
Several ounces goat cheese or gorgonzola, crumbled
1 pound mixed salad greens, washed and dried
Bottled maple-balsamic vinaigrette or homemade salad dressing.

Steps:

  • Arrange the greens in a salad bowl. Seperate shallots and sprinkle them evenly over the greens. Follow with nuts, apple or pear, and cheese. Sprinkle the cranberries over last. Serve with dressing on the side.
