FAMOUS APPLESAUCE CAKE image

this is a very easy,moist cake to make. Always got compliments on it!

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
2 c apple sauce
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp heaping teaspoons of cocoa
2 c sifted flour
TOPPING
2 tsp sugar
1/2 c chopped nuts (i use walnuts)
1 c chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. ADD ALL INGREDIENTS (EXCEPT TOPPING INGREDIENTS) TOGETHER IN A LARGE BOWL AND MIX WELL WITH MIXER. pOUR INTO A GREASED 9X13 PAN.
  • 2. MIX TOPPING INGREDIENTS WITH SPOON AND POUR ON TOP OF CAKE BATTER.
  • 3. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 40 MINUTES, ENJOY!
