Steps:
- 1. In a deep skillet, brown ground beef with onion, garlic and mushroom; Drain off grease and return meat mixture to pan.
- 2. Add pasta, tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, beef broth, water, salt & pepper, and Italian seasoning. Give a quick stir just to combine.
- 3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or so, over low heat, stirring occasionally until liquid is absorbed and pasta is fully cooked. Add water 1/2 cup at a time, if necessary to continue cooking pasta.
- 4. Serve in pasta bowls with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley.
