My mom used to make this for us as kids. I use cool whip on the top, but it can also be done with a meringue. Just prepare it in an oven proof baking dish and spread your favorite meringue reicpe over the top and bake until slightly golden on top. MMM mmmmm!

Steps:
- 1. Line the bottom of a clear glass bowl with 15 vanilla wafers, or enough to cover the bottom.
- 2. Peel and slice 2 ripe bananas and layer slices over vanilla wafers.
- 3. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Cool for five minutes.
- 4. Pour half of pudding over bananas and vanilla wafers; Repeat layers with remaining bananas, wafers and pudding.
- 5. Chill in refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
- 6. Spread whipped topping over the top of pudding. Serve chilled.
