Dutch Mocha Chocolate Cake image

How to make Dutch Mocha Chocolate Cake

Number Of Ingredients 16

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup very strong hot coffee
3 cups sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 8 - ounce carton dairy sour cream
5 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 recipe Unforgettable White Chocolate Frosting (see recipe below) or other frosting
18 ounces chopped white chocolate baking squares or bars
1 3 - ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups butter, cut into pieces

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the cocoa powder and the 3/4 cup sugar. Gradually whisk in coffee until mixture is dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
