Dijon Mashed Potatoes image

Yeah...I know...hmmmm...will this really be good? Yes...just made them. They aren't mustardy tasting, it just adds a nice flavor. Some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. Found this recipe on Food Network

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb yukon gold potatoes
salt to taste
1/2 c milk or half & half (half & half makes them creamier
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 Tbsp whole grain dijon mustard
freshly ground pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Fill large saucepan halfway with water. Bring to a boil. Add salt.
  • 2. While waiting for water to boil, peel and slice potatoes. Add to water.
  • 3. Cook about 15 minutes and drain when done. Put back in pan, add milk, butter and nutmeg. Mash until smooth. Add mustard. Mix well. Add salt & pepper if needed, to taste
