Decadent Eggnog image

This is a non-alcoholic recipe, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't add a bit of holiday cheer.

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 eggs
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/8 tsp salt
4 c milk
2 tsp rum extract
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
8 oz heavy cream, whipped

Steps:

  • 1. Whisk eggs, sugar, and salt in top of double boiler or heavy pan. Add milk; mix and cook, stirring frequently, until mixture barely coats a metal spoon. Chill.
  • 2. Stir in extract and nutmeg. Fold in stiffly beaten whipping cream. Pour immediately into glasses and serve. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg, if desired.
