CRANBERRY SAUCE WITH CHAMPAGNE image

1.5 cups champagne (something worth drinking since you will have an open bottle)
2 bags of fresh cranberries
2 cups of sugar
Here are some ideas for ingredients you can add for more flavor: lemon or orange zest, fresh ginger, apricot jam

Steps:

  • Bring the water and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add cranberries and then simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries begin to pop (approx. 10 minutes). Chill until serving time.
