Cranberry Glazed Boston Butt Pork Roast image

1 diced sweet onion
3 cloves garlic
Olive oil
1 cup apple sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
2 Tbsp soy
A couple dashes Worcestershire sauce
3-5 lb pork butt roast (has bone)
1/4 cup water
Pepper
Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp chili powder, divided
1/2 cup ketchup, divided
1 can cranberry sauce, whole, or jelled

Steps:

  • First, saute onions and garlic in olive oil. Add apple sauce, vinegar, soy, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer on med heat about 5 min.
  • Place roast in crock-pot, put in 1/4 cup water and turn on high. Salt and pepper meat. Return to glaze/sauce and pour mixture over roast. Then sprinkle on 1/2 chili powder and 1/4 cup ketchup. Then add the rest of the chili powder, and the rest of the ketchup. With a fork mash cranberry sauce while still in can and pour over roast and mixture.
  • Cook on high 4-5 hours or until the meat starts to fall off the bone.
